CAD Assistant Job Function:
Main functions of this job are to assist the other CAD service employees through; Answering phone calls and opening repair orders, maintaining and organizing CAD service department records, maintaining a clean and well organized shop area, always willing to go above and beyond in assisting the CAD technicians, processing warranty parts returns and organizing and upkeep of CAD equipment and lot area.
CAD Assistant Job Duties:
Answer phone calls when manager is out and open repair orders as needed
Keep and maintain files of closed repair orders
Maintain the shop (remove trash and scrap metal, sweep the floor, take care of tool room, Etc.)
Assist technicians as needed on repair orders
Process and ship warranty parts returns
Maintain Sprayer Inventory/Lot
Skills & Qualifications:
Basic computer skills and knowledge
General understanding of mechanical/technical terms/procedures
Familiar with John Deere and competitor CAD equipment
Ability to communicate both verbally and written
Must be organized and accurate
Must be motivated to complete all tasks in a timely manor
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift/move objects up to 75lbs
Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended period
Working Conditions:
Normal shop setting, with frequent exposure to the office as well as exposure to other external elements including fluctuations in temperature, humidity, dust, dirt, wet, etc.
Hazards:
Exhaust fumes from equipment
Noise level from equipment and/or tools
Exposure to agricultural chemicals which may require the use of PPE
